Interview With DEVO

The Interview with Mark Mothersbaugh of DEVO I recently did for Suicide Girls is now on-line. Go check it out!

And remember to come see the talks I’m doing in Canada and Minnesota. All the info you need is at this link.

You can comment about it here (but it’s better to comment on the actual interview page if you can — I think maybe only SG members are allowed to leave comments).

Listening to the DEVO Live album. To remember Bob Casale. I’m glad I knew the band pretty early on.

I remember watching them appear on Saturday Night Live up at UCSB. All the other people on my dorm floor were freaking out at the weirdness and I was laughing at how amazing it was.

I didn’t see them live until 2006 at the Canyon Club. A friend got us in free and I wore part of my Burning Man costume and danced like a maniac. The crowd was wonderful, a real mix of young and old.

The band had a great mix of the original members and some much younger musicians who added a lot of energy.

I even got an invite to an after concert party in LA (probably because of my costume) but since I am not an evening person, I didn’t go.

I’m still fine with that decision because I had such a great time at the concert.
No need to try harder to have fun.

Thanks for all the fun DEVO.
